Operating pressure
HAPP™ cleaning requires a minimum pipeline operating pressure of minimum
20 bar at the end of the pipeline.
In order to generate the cleaning jets, a differential pressure of 20 bar over a HAPP™ needs to be maintained throughout the cleaning run. This differential pressure transformed into cleaning energy lowers the operating pressure available for transportation (see figure below).
Compensation can be achieved by increasing the pumping capacity up to the maximum operation pressure (MAOP) of the pipeline. Thus, the original product flow rate can be maintained while the pipeline is cleaned.
